A practical guide from the team at Puranmal Sons & Ceramix Syndicate.
Most leaks start at joints. With CPVC, that usually means insufficient or poorly applied solvent cement, or joining in the wrong conditions. Use the correct solvent, follow cure times, and don't rush the work.
Undersized pipes, too many bends, or partially closed valves reduce pressure. Sizing lines correctly and minimising sharp bends keeps flow healthy.
Drainage blocks from incorrect slopes, missing vents or debris. Correct gradients and proper venting in the SWR system prevent most issues.
Using cold-water pipe on a hot line, or an under-rated pipe on a pressure line, leads to early failure. Match the pipe to the job — we're happy to advise on the right product.
