A practical guide from the team at Puranmal Sons & Ceramix Syndicate.
Measure the floor or wall area in square feet or square metres (length × width). For a room 12 ft × 10 ft, that's 120 sq ft. Add up all the areas you're tiling.
Each tile box states its coverage. Divide the total area by the coverage per box to get the number of boxes. If a box covers 15 sq ft, then 120 ÷ 15 = 8 boxes for our example.
Always add about 8–10% for cutting and breakage, and a little more for diagonal layouts or rooms with many cuts. For 8 boxes, round up to about 9 to be safe, and keep a few spare from the same batch for future repairs.
Give us your room dimensions and chosen tile size and we'll calculate the exact boxes needed and quote the price. For projects, share the area schedule or BOQ.
Share your list or BOQ and we'll call back with pricing and availability, usually the same working day.
