What Is DWC Pipe and Where Is It Used?

A practical guide from the team at Puranmal Sons & Ceramix Syndicate.

Structure

DWC stands for Double Wall Corrugated. It has a corrugated outer wall for strength and a smooth inner wall for flow. This design gives high stiffness with less material, making it light yet strong for underground use.

Where it's used

DWC pipe is widely used for underground drainage, sewerage, storm water and as a cable/electrical duct. It's popular in municipal and infrastructure projects because it's easy to handle and resistant to corrosion.

Ring stiffness

DWC is graded by ring stiffness (for example SN4 and SN8), which indicates how much external load it can take. Deeper burial or heavier traffic loads call for a higher class. We can help match the class to your project.

Buying for projects

For municipal and industrial projects we supply DWC alongside HDPE and other infrastructure piping. Share your BOQ or tender spec and we'll quote the correct diameters and classes.
